Last weekend I went to a scrapbooking retreat with my friend Dawn, Hi Dawn and met a new friend Cathy, Hi Cathy!! I had such a GREAT time. I have NEVER chatted and accomplished so much at one time. When I tell you how many pages I've completed you're not going to believe me but here it goes anyways, TWENTY pages.... I KNOW.... that is a record for me. I haven't done that many pages in a year total lol... I was on a roll. Now I'll be honest and say that SOME of the layouts are one page picture layouts BUT, I still deserve credit (which my hubby doesn't think I deserve) because these are pictures taken from the photo boxes and now put into the scrapbook albums. Credit is deserved RIGHT? Come on ladies I need your support here.
I want to show you the pages that were completed and I'm super excited to share, but I'm in a bit of a pickle here. Some of the layouts were of my daughter AND her Brownie Troop (I'm doing a Brownie Troop album for my daughter), which I am a Co-Leader of. Is it inappropriate for me to post those pages here on my blog? Do I need to get permission from the girls parents in the troop before posting? My little ole blog is such a small blog, no one prolly reads it anyways, but just in case they do, I certainly do not want to disrespect anyone and upset them. If some say no, I can always put a small piece of velum over the child and that way no one will be able to tell who it is. Anyways, I just wanted to give you an update on what I've been doing, and working on. I would love your feedback as far as needing/getting permission. What are your thoughts? Have you had this happen before with your child, whether it be in a brownie troop, school classroom, sport event, dance recital, etc. Thank you!
I do have a card I'd like to share with you. I was admiring Chats blog and came across a super pretty card she made using the sweet summer stamp set. I didn't have that particular set at the time, so I improvised and used what I had. I used the Punch Bunch set and changed a few things up and this is what I came up with. HOWEVER, this card was definitely inspired by her, this is my version of her card. She is probably one of the most talented ladies I've seen. I love her work.
